Drivers have two options for installing these systems in their vehicles. For one, the team at Fort Mill Hyundai can help with installation. Otherwise, the software can easily be downloaded and installed at home. There, you will navigate to the download link in the top navigation bar, which includes links to download either Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
Follow the prompts for downloading either software, and when complete, you will run the file and transfer it to your USB drive. Note: Depending on your connection speed, the download may take up to a few hours or more. To get the app, sedan owners will need to create a MyHyundai account, which will require you to add your name, email address, zip code and Vehicle Identification Number.
After creating your account, login using the username and password and follow these steps to download the software. Select Sonata on the drop-down menu in the top left of the navigation bar. Once the owner gets to the Sonata screen, they can select downloads in the navigation then the Android Auto downloads drop-down.
On the Android Auto downloads page, the owner must agree to the terms and conditions to activate the download button.
Once the download is complete, the owner opens the downloaded file and selects run. At this point, the owner connects a compatible USB driver to their computer. The download tool will automatically extract the downloaded files and put them on the USB drive.
